Recommended Programs

The following are all-inclusive fitness and nutrition programs to help you stay focused, lose excess body fat, and get rid of your love handles as quickly as possible.  The only programs on this list are either ones that I personally have experience with or that come very highly recommended by others.

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, by Tom Venuto  - This is my favorite program out there and I still follow it  (especially the nutritional approach) when I am training.  It is the single most comprehensive program on the market when it comes to shedding excess body fat while building muscle.  Tom is a former bodybuilder and an expert on nutrition and it shows in this program.  He covers all the bases and sets up a fool-proof plan for getting in the best shape of you life.  If you follow his program, the fat literally melts off of your body.  In my opinion, this is the program by which all others should be measured.


Turbulence Training

Turbulence Training, by Craig Ballantyne is a complete fitness and nutrition program that was recently featured in Men's Health, Men's Fitness, & SHAPE magazines.  Craig is a world-renowned Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and his Turbulence Training program is being hailed as a revolutionary breakthrough in fat loss strategy.  This program is next on my list, after I finish my current Burn the Fat program.


The Truth About Six Pack Abs

The Truth About Six Pack Abs, by Certified Nutrition Specialist & Certified Personal Trainer Mike Geary, is another complete fitness and nutrition program that has gotten fantastic feedback.  In fact, it is creeping up on Bun the Fat, Feed the Muscle as the best rated fitness program available on the web.  The user testimonials say more than about this awesome program than I ever could here, so I recommend you check this one out for yourself.


Body For Life

Body for Life, by Bill Phillips is a fantastic starting program for anyone.  IT is simple, motivating, and very easy to follow.  Unlike some more advanced programs that are more detailed in exact calorie and nutritional content breakdowns, BFL takes a much more laid back approach to everything and makes it easy for people to get started right away.  I personally did a 90 day Body for Life challenge in January-March of 2000 and lost an amazing 40 pounds in that time period.  This program definitely works.


Fat Burning Furnace

Fat Burning Furnace is a program by Rob Poulos and is another complete fitness and nutrition program that gets very good reviews from satisfied customers.  I don't have any personal experience with this program, but I have seen many success stories based on this product.
